Obedience is an easy Yes.
Obedience may feel secure and seamless, at time it may feel like confusion doubt disappointment and pain. Obedience will take you down paths that you would not have expected, paths that would make you question God and if you heard God correctly. Obedience will also not make sense to spectators that is on the outside.
Obedience doesnt always feel logical. sometimes God asks us to trust him in ways that stretches us, make us uncomfortable or it only seem to highlight our inadequacies. The question is will we obey anyway?

The good Shepherd
The Good Shepherd
Read: John 10:11–18; Psalm 23
One of the most comforting images in all of Scripture is that of Jesus as our Good Shepherd. In Psalm 23, David declares, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Centuries later, Jesus identifies Himself as the fulfilment of that very promise: “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” (John 10:11).
A shepherd knows every sheep by name. He leads them, feeds them, protects them, and searches for them when they wander. Jesus does not care for His people from a distance. He knows each of His children personally and calls them to follow Him. His sheep recognise His voice because they belong to Him.
What makes Jesus the Good Shepherd is not only that He leads His flock, but that He lays down His life for them. Unlike the hired hand who abandons the sheep when danger comes, Christ stood in our place. At the cross He faced the wolf of sin, Satan, and death, so that His sheep might have eternal life. His resurrection assures us that the Shepherd who died for His flock now lives forever to keep them.
Psalm 23 reminds us that life with the Shepherd is not free from dark valleys. There are seasons of suffering, uncertainty, and grief. Yet David does not fear because the Shepherd is present: “You are with me.” The Christian’s confidence is not that the valley is easy, but that Christ walks through it with us.
Today, listen for the Shepherd’s voice in His Word. Trust His leading even when you cannot see the path ahead. Rest in His care, knowing that no one can snatch His sheep out of His hand (John 10:28). The Shepherd who gave His life for you will never leave you nor forsake you.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for being my Good Shepherd. Thank You for laying down Your life to save me and for faithfully leading me each day. Help me to recognise Your voice, trust Your guidance, and follow You with a willing heart. When I walk through difficult seasons, remind me that You are with me and that nothing can separate me from Your love. Amen.

Psalm 46:10
The science of stillness
How often do you just sit in complete silence with no phone and no background music playing?
Do you still just sit for longer than 5 minutes to let God speak and you just listen?
Stillness is not about switching off but it is about tunning in. With stillness comes surrender and God will have an open channel to work through you. Can i challenge you today to sit for more than 10min in complete silence with just you and your thoughts, try and silence your thoughts and just listen to nature. This will be you taking stock of where you are at and how your nervous system can be calmed.
The bible says "Be still" if we continue to be on the go and not sit still we are not allowing God to speak. Stillness comes with so much peace as well.

Philippians 4:4
Rejoicing in the Lord
Rejoicing is more than a response to good circumstances—it is a choice to trust God's goodness in every season. The apostle Paul wrote these words while facing hardship, reminding us that our joy is rooted in Christ rather than in our changing situations.
Life brings moments of celebration as well as seasons of uncertainty. Yet God's faithfulness remains constant. When we choose to rejoice, we shift our focus from our problems to God's promises. Gratitude opens our hearts to see His presence, His provision, and His unfailing love.
Today, take a moment to thank God for who He is, not just for what He has done. As you rejoice in Him, let your joy become a testimony that encourages those around you. True joy is found in knowing that the Lord is with us, guiding us, strengthening us, and filling us with hope.

Isaiah 41:10
The Lord Is My Strength
Life often brings moments that leave us feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or inadequate. In those times, God does not ask us to rely on our own strength. Instead, He reminds us that His presence is constant and His strength is more than enough.
Isaiah 41:10 is a promise that God walks with us through every challenge. He does not promise a life free from difficulties, but He promises that we will never face them alone. When fear tries to take hold, we can choose faith by remembering that the One who created us also sustains us.
Today, whatever you are facing, take a moment to release your worries into God's hands. Trust that He is already working, even when you cannot see the outcome. His grace is sufficient, His timing is perfect, and His strength will carry you through.
