The Fight Is Not Of Flesh And Blood

“ For we are not fighting against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age. 13 So put on God's armor now! Then when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist the enemy's attacks; and after fighting to the end, you will still hold your ground. 14 So stand ready, with truth as a belt tight around your waist, with righteousness as your breastplate, 15 and as your shoes the readiness to announce the Good News of peace. 16 At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the Evil One. 17 And accept salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you.”
We need to understand that the weapons that we need to conquer our battles/ trials and tribulations are in God and his word. We cannot depend on our own might to fight against the forces that are against us.
Paul goes further to tell us that we need to put on The Armor of God. Unfortunately 😅we cannot physically put it on by the word verse 18, emphasises that we must do all this in prayer, asking the Father to help us because we cannot fight on our own. We cannot physically put the Armor on but we can pray and ask our Father to clothe us with it. A devotion the other day shared with us, on how much more will he clothe us as his children. It is time we clothe ourselves, with his help with the Armor of God, in order to conquer our battles.
I understand that many of our challenges, tend to leave us weak, disappointed, discouraged, frustrated, some even last longer than we anticipated but with this word, I am testifying that our battles will never leave us helpless. Our Father has given us the weapons to fight, we just need to take them and use them - through prayer.

A prayer for today
Clothe us with your Armor oh God. Strengthen us with your love and lastly anoint us with the blood of the lamb. Let us us understand that we can conquer all because of your clothing.
